Help with oil

Hi Guys,

I know that this maybe a wrong forum but I just want to ask a question. I recently took my e46 m3 to my mechanic and he put in bmw performance oil 5w30 instead of the recommended 10w60. I'm really nervous because i think that it is bad for the car..any thoughts?

I'd personally change out the lighter oil before summer hits

you should be okay. I do that all the time changing engine oil. It won't hurt.
