Help!!! Dealer screwed up my PCD

My dealer just called and told me that my car is on the way over to the US. However its on a ship to NJ, not SC!!!! They said that they're gonna see if they can get BMW NA to get it routed down to SC once it gets to NJ, but they weren't sure if its possible.

I don't care about getting my car ASAP, I wanted to take delivery down at the PDC towards the middle of Nov anyway.

Anyone with a suggestion?

Have your dealer contact the PDC and see if they can make it happen, you certainly have enough time

I think its still possible...its gonna take more time. I agree with IrvRobinson, have the dealer contact the PC to see how they can make this happen, or better yet, contact them yourself.

Most likely the CA screwed up and forgot to designate a Priority-9 on the car....but I think it can be fixed...its gonna add more wait time though.

Thanks guys. I have no problem waiting for it, and actually prefer that it come later in Nov b/c of my schedule. He said he'll call me tomorrow so hopefully he'll have it all straightened out.

I think his issue was HOW to get the car from the DE port to the SC PCD. Anyone know if the transport company would even do this?

Personally, if he's willing to pay for a 2 day driving class for me down there at a later time, I'll take delivery whenever he wants me to

Update!!!!

I have great news - seems like BMWNA really pulled some strings to get me straightened out. Many thanks to Donnie Isley (a board member here) and Danielle Swain for working their magic. Not only did they tell me that I can have the PCD date I needed, but they will have the car re-routed to SC once its off the ship in NJ. WOW!!! Can't believe how fast, responsive, and polite they were. Its things like this that makes me a BMW lover forever!

Now, I'm just waiting to hear confirmation from my dealer that all this is set in stone. I did a lot of the legwork to contact the right folks, so I'm still expecting something from my dealer as compensation. I think I'll start with the aero kit

Congrats!! Great News!!

Looks like BMW NA and more specifically the folks over at the Performance Center went through a lot of work to correct your CA's mistake. Bravo They have made a lifer out of you

They did help me out a great deal. However, I still have to rely on the dealer to get the correct paperwork over to the PC to finalize everything.

Although I would have been a lifer regardless of this scenario (this is my 3rd BMW), its nice to hear good news stories once in a while.

Thanks for all your help Donnie. I hope your my instructor when I get down there.

I still haven't heard from my dealer, so the more time passes, the more I get pissed. I sure hope they don't take any credit for fixing anything b/c all they keep doing is screwing me.

PCD is an Absolute MUST :rocks:

It is a "Total" Experience in and of itself...

I am still having thrilling "Flashbacks" from Donnie's Ride in the M5...

And to think I knew not what "Drifting" is/was...

I nominate Donnie for "King of all Good Things"...

I know this is an old thread, but I think PCD is a maybe, I didn't do it. One has to have the time. I mean in reality, life is full of offers, but only so much time. Me and my g/f have a free weekend and dinner at a resort where presidents have golfed, and it is good for 12 mos. When are we going to do it? Crazy little thing called....work.

Anyway, imho The Ultimate Drive is a much more convenient way to drive and be driven by a professional BMW driver. And you don't even have to buy a car to experience that.
