"ticking" Gas Guage
Hi, I haven't posted much, but my new to me 2008 335's gas guage is doing an odd thing. When I enter the car before keying on (comfort access) my gass guage "ticks" or bounces right at the empty side of the guage, and then after a few seconds registers the actual reading and is steady.
Is this common, or a sign of something that needs to be repaired. Thanks. |

Well, atleast I'm not alone. if it's normal or not who knows, but it doesn't seem that common or everyone would notice it. Not a biggie, but it is a forum so i thought it was worth a shot. |

Mine started doing this too, almost daily now. I wouldn't consider it that much of an issue if (on mine at least) it always reads ±5% of the actual contents of the tank. From what I can tell, the cruising range estimation appears to be correct, however. I asked my SA about it previously, who said that the entire instrument cluster would have to be replaced, so I'm waiting until the next time I have to take it in for something else to have it done.
