Can I sell BMW body parts at a local junkyard?
Well since I had the mtech side skirts and mtech rear bumper put on my 08 e92, I have had trouble selling the factory side skirts and rear pdc bumper from the car. The color is alpine white.
Are there any junkyards that buy parts from customers? I kind of want to free of some space in my garage but I don't want to just throw these parts away. Any advise out there? |

you should try to find a way to keep them in case you get rid of the car, you can return it to stock. i don't know of any junkyards that would buy them however.
what about finding someone that can do a good paint job on them?

Good luck man, might work, but I would guess you might get like $20 or something...
I tried forever to just GIVE AWAY my full Kerscher front bumper FOR FREE! Some people PM'd me all excited but completely blew me off on actually picking it up. Ended up bringing it to the dump along with a couple 19" wheels I had inorder to clear out space.

I am starting to feel the same way. Maybe I can make some space for them.
The pieces are in mint condition. Hate to have to just toss them. Oh well. |

there's usually not a market for the OEM side skirts, but occasionally someone may want to buy the rear bumper. when i went MTech, I was lucky to find a guy in Philly who wanted it b/c the lease was up and someone just rear ended him.
the best part of the transaction was when I went to meet him, he drove up in a C class with is wife and kids. i was trying to figure out where he was gonna put the bumper and he FOLDED it in half, stuck it in the trunk, and drove away

Junkyard dog
check your local yellow pages and look for a junkyard that specializes in foreign, or even better European used parts. that way they will have an idea what you have in hand. that might get you the bast bang for your parts. GL
