Muffler Delete Tip Positioning Opinions

Hey guys, got my muffler delete done with a couple 3.5" magnaflow tips. I had a thought. Has anybody thought about rotating the tips to come out directly perpendicular to the bumper, meaning both tips will set flush with the lip of the bumper. Would this look funny to have them pointing outward rather than directly straight out the back of the car. Here are some pics of my setup right now:

To be honest, the only thing that really bugs me is that you can see where the tip ends on the side of the car. I wish the rear bumper hung down lower. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem, rather than getting a whole new bumper. Should I get something to weld onto the tip to extend back further? Here is the pic that shows what I'm talking about.
