Best I can find is $300 shipped. Given I paid more for my Simota Intake, at least Simota comes with nice carbon fiber shield that looks awesome on the engine. Injen looks like a B16 with an intake.

I can't justify paying more than $250 for this. Anyone got deals?

PM Julius@wsto...269 shipped to where I am in Philly. I didn't go with an intake though. I didn't want to sacrifice torque for sound...air silencer/carbon filter removal and aFe oiled drop in ftw!

losing tq with an intake? hmmm doubtful. proven gains on almost all of them.

I would go away from Injen though... no heat shield. go AFE. with the heat shield. especially since the summer is coming up... dont want that hot air coming in. in that case, yes you might lose some power.

I thought you lose torque? The factory airbox is pretty well designed. Either way I'm over getting an intake. Knowing that the 330 has a 3 stage intake...has anyone ever modified the intake so the valves are open all the time? Instead of just open when WOT.

BTW, losing torque with an intake is totally and easily possible.

Oh its definitely possible, I know some of them have lost power, but I doubt the injen or afe do. from the dynos ive seen. I know I feel gains on the but dyno. but with the intake, exhaust, and pbx, they all compliment each other very well. (intake was my first mod).

whichever member had his intake melt... haha he definitely lost power.

And as far as modding the stock intake... I have no idea. never heard of anyone doing that. ask e90pilot. He just did the 325 to 330 conversion....he might know better than anyone.
