Owner's Manual for 335is? Curious about M-DCT operation.

Does anyone have a link to the Owner's Manual for the 335is. I want to read up in advance of my car being delivered. I am particularly curious about the M-DCT operation, since it only has a single "Sport" button instead of the 5 selectable DCT modes that the M3 has.

M3 does not have 5 modes, it has 11 modes
6 Manual modes M1 - M6 and 5 Auto modes

Not sure how the 335is can only have one sport button

To my understanding: th 335is Sport button workes exactly like the steptronic movement into DS.

It's not like the M3; all it does is make the transmission shift later. Maybe, and just maybe, the button changes the harshness and speed of the actual shift....

Maybe someone who has already taken delivery of one of the convertible 335is could scan and upload the 2 pages that talk about DCT operation?

I tried that, but for this car it doesn't show up yet. My wife's 335i manual is there when I select her car, but no 335is manual available for D/L yet.

Asking for 2 pages from a 335is user's manual concerning the DCT that I'm probably just not going to get. I guess I'll have to wait. <*sigh*>

Wow, thanks for uploading that. I didn't even know the 335is will have LC! However, I'm more curious about the M-DCT instructions, and/or anything that talks about the "Sport" button and what effect that has, or if there are any other buttons or i-Drive menu options that effect the M-DCT operation.
Thanks in advance!

Based on the DCT I have in my 335i I can tell you the following.

The sport button changes shift speed, throttle response and steering response (at least with active steering, not sure about the other steering options). The sport button can be used in D and S (auto modes), and in Manual mode. So in total you have 6 programs.
1. D (slowest and smoothest shift)
2. D with sport button activate
3. S
4. S with sport button activated
5. M
6. M with sport button activated

What I know have 3 and 5 similar settings with the difference that one shifts automatic, the other manual. The same for 4 and 6.

Hope this helps.

What is the difference between D and S? Is the S mode entered by pushing the stick to the left? I think I have a similar setup on my 535is, but I never really got the difference between the "S" mode and hitting the Sport button.

S mode is indeed pushing the stick to the left. The difference is that the sports button also impacts throttle and steering response, S mode doesn't. I normally only use D, M or M with sport button active.
