Anyone good in Philosophy?
Does anyone know about Paul Grice's Natural and Non-Natural meaning?
If so, "The end of the year means the fun can begin" is this Natural or Non-natural meaning? Thanks in advance. |

I wrote 3 philosphy papers for a philo class and the final was 2 essays. I still don't know what the fuck I wrote, but I got a B.
Moral? Talk in circles using the same terminology the "philosopher" used for long enough and the TA grading you will probably lose interest. If it's a multiple choice test, don't answer anything and write 2 pages on the back of the test explaining why you don't see philosophy can be tested so objectively. Maybe you'll get an A |

Psh that's simple. haha jp! Actually, that is a confusing question! But here is -
THE ANWSER! It is a non-natural meaning since it is not literal. Non-natural meanings should be analyzed in terms of the speakers' intentions. Hope that was helpful!
