Bought a 335i......warranty ending this month..what should i check?

Hey guys,

so finally bought a BMW 335i vert, and the warranty is ending this month. a few things I have noticed that are not working which the car is booked in at the dealers to be sorted.

However I wanted fellow 335 owners to give me any info about what to look for for things to check before warranty expires. this would be much help.

Ps... car has 17k miles, anyway checking if HPFP is changed? hmm

Cheers peeps

Squealing rear brake pads/sensors, wastegate, your maintenance freebies (wipers, oil changes, brake fluid service), any interior panels peeling, ... and if you have any starting issues (injectors, ignition coils, VANOS, etc.).

Good luck...

excessive bouncing headlights, there is a TSB for early 335i as yours probably is.

Watch out apparently the warranty starts at the in service date of the car is not when it was origionally titled.

I thought they would only update your software if your car has an issue that warrants it? I don't think they'll just update it and assume the cost for the heck of it... Maybe somebody can share their experience? Good luck with your car!

if the matt coating around the steering wheel is peeling, or the trim on the outside of the car (silver or black rubber) is fading, or the finish on the shifter is fading, take it in. it is covered. I wish the previous owner of my car had done this.

I would sell it asap! The turbos will surely need replacing soon, no way around it. N54 is not a long term reliable platform.
