Missfire in cylinders
"Service Engine Soon" light went on and the code read missfire in cylinders 1,2,3. Dealer reset it and it went on again 3K miles later. Stayed for 4 days and dissappeared. Same process repeats every 5-7K miles. My dealer knows no fix. Anybody had it before and how they fixed it?

Sounds like you need new spark plugs. Dealer didn't recommend this as a fix? |

1) Misfire 2) Really Rough Idle 3) Smell of unburnt gas coming out of the exhaust I was out of warranty, so I had to do the work myself. If youre still under warranty, just ask them to replace the ignition plug. Supposedly, spark plugs are suppose to last up to 100k, but plugs die at 60k.

Bad gas did this to me (misfires)... I still get a rough idle on cold though....
Once the RPMs settle to 600 or so the rough idle is gone. Could this be plugs/ignition coil for me also... I'm a 2008 with 30K miles.

guys, dealer has checked everything: from plugs to fuel injector to compression. they think it is a "wire" that connects sensors from the engine to the major computer, atleast that was what the plant recommended... will see, i'm picking up the car in couple of days after they test it.

My guess is bad coil more than plugs but both or one could be the issue. I would make the dealer fix it properly. Complain a little about having to bring it back and they will generally put their best guy on it.

Sounds like plugs and/or coils. Strange that they 'didn't know a fix'.
