e90 328i to G37 Coupe?
Will I regret this move?? I currently have a 2007 e90 328i with automatic, black leather, ZSP, VMR Wheels, and H&R Sports. I've been looking into some G37's and the dealer by me just got in a 2010 G37 Sport, White with black interior with 6speed manual, Premium, Sport Package and Nav. He quoted me a invoice of $43,625. Which is really good for a G37. I'm planning on leasing it so he quoted me for 39 months, with $3,900 down including tax and licensing for $389 a month with 12k miles a year. Should I make this move???

Why not a 335i instead?

Funny, I test drove both cars yesterday (except it was a 328xi sedan). First time driving both. The g37 left me disappointed in the handling department (buddy has a 335i coupe which I've driven and which felt way better). Didn't like the engine sound either. The g37 may look good on paper in terms of acceleration, but I wasn't thrilled by it, contrary to the 335. I actually prefered the 328 yesterday, believe it or not. I think I'll save a bit more and go for the 335 in the end.

well I was thinking about it but I need to keep my payments as low as possible and the 335i lease would be around $500 a month....

Why? You will be looking to get out of it after 6 months. Infinitis just don't wear well especially in the southern California sun. Stay with German cars.

With the same config and money down? You sure? Have you talked to a BMW dealership here (BMWSD, South County, Brecht, etc)? PM me if you want a CA to talk to @ at least BMWSD.

Yeah I went down to BMWSD last weekend and for a new 2011 335i with 6mt, sport and premium it was $5,000 down for $506 a month for 36 months with only 10,000 miles a year...

Back when I was looking at cars to buy, I drove a 2009 G37 with 10k miles, and also a 2007 328i. The G37 felt, I dont know, cheap and weak. Even though the hp and acceleration looks really good on paper, when I drove it I wasn't amazed at all. The feel of it was not appealing whatsoever and I felt like it would break down after driving it hard. It just felt cheap and non responsive, but it was pretty fast. The 328i on the other hand felt amazing, as alll BMWs do. It didn't have as much power but it sure did handle like a beast and felt better as I drove. Thats a hard decision but test drive both and decide. However I chose my 335i over both instantly, and I would say BMW FTW

The numbers for G37s seems a bit high to me. save the money and get the 335i. BMW drives better than the Gs. No regrets. |

"You don't get what you don't pay for"...
Go to your dealer, look at CPO and find happiness. Infiniti, Lexus, etc. are all BMW wannabes, but they don't really have "soul" like the BMWs do.

i'll be the first one to say do it
i drove a g35 for about a year and a half and if infiniti just umped the ante some more after that car you wont be disappointed. while i've never drove a g37 before, i'm assuming that its a great car after what my g35 delivered. best of luck

G37 is not by any means a bad car. It's surprisingly decent to drive but I will say it's nowhere near the fun factor of a 335i. However, having never driven a 328i, I wouldn't know if the extra power of the g37 would outweigh the driving experience of the 3er

i drove the G before buying mine, I could've gotten a brand new G for what I paid for my 2 year old CPO 335i I just thought the Bimmer was that much better. But if you HAVE to have new i'd get the G over the 328, i'd rather have power over handling and it's not like the infiniti handles bad.

I just want a car that I know I will be able to take 150,000 miles plus and I highly doubt a 335i would make it that far without major repairs.

I was weighing G35/37 vs. 335 and I am so happy I didn't end up with the Infiniti
