remove E90 clutch release valve

one of my friends has a E46 M3 with the 6MT transmission. i rode in his car the other day and noticed something different...the power seemed much more direct once he shifted, so i asked him if he had modified the transmission or something, find out that he somehow said that he removed the CRV (clutch release valve). just wondering if anyone has tried this or if it is even possible with the E90.

CDV - Clutch delay valve.

Its a common mod for manual transmission drivers. I personally have not done it, but I have heard it is a much more precise engagement....

Search "CDV".

BTW, anyone who's done this, any problems with the dealer?

I did this on my M3 and it made a big difference. One of the best "free" mods out there.

So how do you do this? I have a manual E92 335i and can this be done?

Not sure if it is the same on the 335i as it was for my s, but your going to have to take the clutch slave off and take it apart. you have to remove a specific clip from the clutch save then put it back together and onto the car without the clip. Pics would probably help. I wonde if its even the same for the 335.

I plan this frst day once mines in.

I just removed mine tonight. HUGE difference.

The 335i sedan is the same as the instuctions for removal on the e92. It took about 20 mins.
