I am getting some odd jumpiness since I had the BMS Powerbox installed, and would like to reset the learned throttle response to have the car "relearn" with this mod in place. Any ideas that work save going to the dealer and resetting it there? Thanks!

1. Get in the car
2. Put key in ignition, foot off the brake, do not start the car
3. Floor the gas and hold it for at least 30 seconds.

Your throttle should begin the process of adapting again.

Also, once you reset, if you're wanting alot of responsiveness be sure to floor it a couple times so it learns to respond even quicker. If you're looking for a softer pedal go easy on it.

Stupid question maybe, mine has no mods but I have poor throttle response, it has flat spots, will this reset a stock setup as well?

Yea absolutely. The stock response is pretty tame compared to one with a PBX, but resetting it and driving aggresively should help a little bit. Reset away! I do it like every week just because I like the most brutal response I can get.

What about for 6MT?

For the 2nd part, do I hold the start button without pressing the clutch or do I just put the key in the hole and then floor the gas?

Shouldn't be too much different for an MT, basically you just want to turn the accessory power on, not the car.

There's tons of info about this if you guys want more just search a bit. There's some gargantuan thread about the pros and cons of this and whether it actually works. I for myself feel the difference when I do this, and it has led me to firmly conclude that this is the way to reset the throttle without an OBD2 cable.
