possible hpfp issue????
Yesterday when starting my car it took about 2-3 seconds. After starting it up, the engine made a "putt putt" noise and reved to about 1.5k rpms before returning to normal. This morning it took about 3-4 seconds to start up. I also noticed yesterday that the "service engine soon" icon and the service warning on my trip computer popped up. Could this be a possible hpfp issue? I have an 07 e90 335i and just recently installed a bms dci. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Also I know that the hpfp's are covered under warranty for 10y, 120k, but I purchased my car used not cpo. Does that transfer? I have an aftermarket warranty and am not sure if this is covered. Thanks again! |

if its a bumper to bumper warranty it should, however i would give them a call and find out if they are going to cover your visit to the dealer to see what's wrong with the car.
