My guess, dealers get cars that sell well to general public first for new model/LCI; usually premium + nav +auto and non-sport (for civilized ride).
Then the m-sport cars will come in later.

BTW, the pictures on this thread is 335is not 335i + m-sport, the side skirt and rear bumper on is are more defined (more aggressive) wish the rear bumper of M-sport looks like that.

i thought the diffuser was different for the msport and the 335is? also, the front grill comes black on the IS and i dont think it comes like that on the msport. i could be wrong though.

also, the 335is doesn't have an msport option.

Are they still really that scarce? I haven't stepped foot in a dealership showroom in like 6 months but I did see an E92 M3 parked outside my office with the new LCI tails.

My 2011 335i E92 m-sport is getting off the boat in one week. When I take delivery I'll post a bunch of pics.

pretty much what the 335is is a 335i m-sport with the performance power kit. it has a different diffuser and a black grill and 335is badges all over the place. it has an option for a watered down version of the dct or a 6mt. the 6mt runs less torque than the dct.

Sorry but you are wrong. The 335is has overboost to 500Nm (Power Kit - max 450Nm) and the 335is manual has the same torque as the DCT, due to a beefier flywheel compared to the regular 335i with Power Kit. Also the DCT in the 335is is not watered down, the 335i DCT with the new N55 engine has indeed a "watered down" DCT.

I don't think this version hits the dealers until July. Its pretty crazy because my friend said that people are paying up to 70k...yea 70k for the convertible.

In the US, the 335is does have a watered down DCT, and the regular 335 is not available with the DCT at all.

This is correct. The rear diffuser on the 335is is not the same as that of a 335 + m-sport pkg option. Oddly enough, the 335is convertible I saw at the dealership had a chrome kidney with high-gloss black lining. The entire fixture was not black as seen in the marketing documentation.

What do you mean by "watered down"? Do you mean there is a hardware difference between it and the Getrag unit on the M3? Or does "watered down" refer to the number of preset shift modes [not] available to 335is?

Does anyone know if the 328 or the 335 M-Sport will have the same wheels as the 335is?

335 M sport right now comes with 193M as standard, and the optional is type 230 until they get their production issues straightened out with their 225M. The 335is standard wheel currently is the 313M and the optional 19" is the 225M. I believe BMW unintentionally were forced to use the type 230 as the optional 19" on current LCI 335i m sport orders (e92) despite the fact that they are not "M" designated wheels.

I initially ordered the 19" 225M option (code 2MP) for my incoming 335is Coupe but my dealer later told me that they were no longer available. As an alternate 19" option, I was able to order the 19" Light Alloy Style 313 (code 2B6). So essentially, the 335is 19" upgrade is just a larger version of the stock rims. I went ahead and paid the extra $1000 to have 19s as opposed to 18s. I believe the 19" 313M wheels come standard with the LCI e92 M Sport models in the UK.
