those are pre LCI, 335 has dual exhaust. It depends on the package the car has, specify what you are asking

just the body difference. I seem some really nice 335s with rims, I was thinking if I put rims on a 328 will it look the same besides the fact that its a 328?

I think that the 335i has a temp gauge, not the 328i.

10000$ difference in Canada.

it will look the same, only big cosmetic difference that stands out between the 2 is the dual exhaust which the 335i has. other than that the coupes are all the same up until 2011 models and the sedans are all the same up until 09 models.

i think all the coupes get the temp gauge although I am not sure. My mom's 328i coupe had it whereas my sedan didn't even though I wish it did

you're wasting your time trying to look like a 335, real BMW owners can tell the difference...

Just curious as to how a "real" bmw owner can tell the difference exterior wise as to whether it is a 335 or 328 if the owner of the 328 gets an OEM rear 335 bumper with a dual exhaust oem335 or aftermarket, and even possibly put some oem 335 sport rims on, and some oem 335 brakes. You would not be able to tell the difference appearance wise... performance wise thats a different story.

I don't think putting a 335 rear bumper or even an M-tech rear bumper on a 328 is a bad idea, nor is it posing unless of course if you slap a 335 badge on. The dual exhuast looks much better, and the 328 owner may not be really interested in performance, and would like his 328 to look presentable. Those 328 side tips are really ugly IMO, and if I had a 328 I would most certainly change that rear right away!

Its not posing... its called OEM+

chrome trim, most 328s come with halogens on the e90

could be changed as well, but thats an awful lot to edit to imitate the 335

If it is for a performance reason (Eisenmann Race, etc), then I see nothing wrong with it. Other than the rear bumper, there is really no glaring difference between the two models.

I guess in your opinion, it all comes down to aesthetics.

Not really an awful lot needs to be done, and its not really imitating or wanting to become a 335, the 335 just plain out looks better than a 328.

The brakes can be put on if a member is upgrading his stock 335s for some brembos, alcons, stoptechs etc. and sells his stocks and would make for a great cheap upgrade for the 328 to dramatically increase their braking which is more of a safety mod IMO.

As for the trim being chrome/ black. Changing that would be overkill.

And honest question... if you had a 328 and were hypothetically rear ended, and would be able to opt to get a 335 rear installed w. a dual or quad exhaust for the same price you wouldn't out of fear of being considered a "poser" ?

BMW did a poor job on the rear of the 328 and rims/tires for that car, and simply changing those would be a great mod for those interested in aesthetics, and don't need that badboy twinturbo power.

I also forgot the chrome grille slats on the kidney grilles on the 335, black on the 328
Body color roof rail moldings on the 335, black on the 328
silver painted lower airdam grilles on the 335, black on the 328
