How many of you guys have no warranty and what have you fixed out of pocket?

i bought my 06 325xi (private sale) last august. Warranty ended in oct. I tried to iron out all the common issues with the car before the warranty ran out..had the starter replaced, sticky door handles, and brake fluid done. Rest was fine (i was hoping to have my steering wheel locks, airbag sensor or engine ticking come up before the warrranty ended..but no such luck).

since then ive had my rear pads done, cabin filter and oil changed. toal cost of about 230$ (i dont go to the dealership).

i had a steering wheel lock light come on for a split second just last week while i was driving. Hope that was a glitch. But overall, so far so good.

how bout you guys? What did you have to fix out of pocket and what did it cost you?

Too soon for me to tell. Purchased my 06 325i at 48,000 miles (2-3 months ago) 3,000 miles later just changed auto trans fluid and coolant.

Within warranty BMW changed power steering pump (it didn't need changing, but they changed it anyway), head bolt, oil & filter, and wiper blades.

It shouldn't though, everyone should know these cars can be expensive to maintain once warranty expires..

Garage List
2006 330xi  [9.50]
Only a coil which would have been covered under CPO warranty.

^ you better hope other things break down, otherwise that coil just cost you about $3,000.
