My neighbor had one. It's a beast. It was significantly faster in a straight line than my other neighbor's e46 m3. So much so that the M3 owner sold it and bought a 09 Corvette Z06. He's the kind of guy that has to have the fastest car/bike on the block.
Also, they can't tow anything despite huge HP. The transmission isn't capable of towing (apparently the issue is actually the parking pawl in the transmission can't handle any real weight), not to mention the fact that the exhaust is routed right where a receiver hitch would go. Overall a really powerful truck. Gas pig though.

Terrible gas mileage (expected).
I have heard of some reliability issues as well (also expected with jeeps). My mom has had one of every model of jeep since 1989. She has put a minimum of 180,000 miles on each of them. Problems happen... but nothing ever too serious. No burnt transmissions/blown engines, etc. Overall pretty reliable... Aside from trim pieces falling off, etc. your 335 will probably give you just as many (maybe even fewer) problems than the Jeep. And they do sound awesome. If i could justify it... I would own one too. Just check out Hennessey's 0-60 run (on youtube). There is some potential. |
