Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum
(German Traffic Center Museum)
Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum Theresienhöhe 14a 80339 Munich Germany Tel. +49 (0)89 / 500 806 762 Fax +49 (0)89 / 500 806 501 E-Mail: verkehrszentrum@deutsches-museum.de Opening Hours 9:00 to 17:00 daily Cost: 6 euros per person. http://www.deutsches-museum.de/en/ve...m/information/ Hi Gang, Well… in keeping with my German Car Museum series… this little jewel is located in downtown Munich. It houses a lot of historical transportation items. Mostly cars and trains and trucks and buses. No planes. But one helicopter! lol The museum consists of three big halls. The first two are obvious but that last new hall is kind of hidden. I almost kissed out in seeing it. That would have been a shame bc it was the largest and the best as far as what all was on display inside the hall. It also looked to me as if they are in the process of building a fourth hall to house more cars! So in a year or two it should be finished. The museum is located in downtown Munich. Parking is tough, so it is best to take the U-bahn to the museum. Take: U4 and U5 to 'Schwanthalerhöhe' stop. You will be just a few meters walk once you exit the U-bahn. 'Schwanthalerhöhe' stop is only seven (or so)stops from Munich’s Marien Platz in downtown Munich. It wasn’t hard riding the U-bahn there. Plan on staying a few hours in the museum. You can see more of my photos here: http://s764.photobucket.com/albums/x...kehr%20Museum/ Ok, Enjoy my pics. I tired not to over load the server this time around! :P The photos were taken last weekend. - David - Puffing Billy… Messershmidt… BMW 507… Stainless Steel study 911S from 1967… Bicycles Trains… Vehicular train… BMW bike w/side car! Tatra CZ car… this was the car that Hitler forbid his Luftwaffe from driving bc it oversteered so badly near its limits. Rear mounted V8 aircooled motor! Old gas station… Bosch spark plugs… Osram spare light bulbs... SMILE… My favorite sign on the Autobahn! First generation ICE bullet train… DDR Trabant… MAN truck. MAN = Munich – Augsburg – Nuerenberg MB crash test car… More 116i crash photos here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ght=116i+crash Bike park haus… Seven series hydrogen car… Mexico city taxi beetle… Munich Taxi… Alfa... |
