Good RPG besides WOW?

Hey guys, anyone recommend a good RPG besides world of warcraft? I played it back in the day but i just lost interest in it. Thanks

Are you looking for only MMO's?

I would suggest City of Heroes if you want to get away from all of that fantasy bullshit. Armor and swords definitely gets repetitive.

There is a 2 week free trial if you want to goof around with it. Graphics can be cranked up with their new options making the game look gorgeous, and there is a new expansion coming out, if it's not already out yet.

if not MMO, I'd suggest any BioWare game... Mass Effect 1/2, Knights of the Old Republic

if MMO.. not much good out there

STO sucks, APB is even worse.... waiting on SWTOR

This. Just a note, you don't really need to have played ME1 to play ME2 and I'll say ME2 is alot better than ME1, though it wasn't a bad game.

The knights of the old republic 1/2 games are great, almost best ever. Only thing that holds them back is a few bugs and that their graphics are slightly dated now. But still entertaining and captivating.

Mass Effect 1 is pretty cheap to pick up
I just bought both of them together for pretty cheap and I'm almost done with ME1 and I'm pretty glad I'm playing it

I also forgot to add Dragon Age into the mix... extremely good game

I'm playing EVE online. It's a great game. But let me warn you.... This game is not like wow and casual gamers won't like it. It's for the hardcore only, but once you learn how to play then the game is a blast.

What is the deal with this game EVE? I have seen online ads for it but not really sure what the back drop is.... How is it for hardcore players only?

It just has a steep learning curve. Like it took me 1 hour to fully have a basic idea of how to play WOW... But it took me about an entire day to learn the basics of EVE.

Some casual gamers might be turned off by this and just give up and call the game "too hard".

The game itself is about four superpower races of humans that are fighting each other. Players control spaceships and can pilot a variety of ships that include combat ships, transport ships, shuttles, mining barges, logistic ships, exploration ships, and much more.

Happened to me too, not that I cared for playing the game any more. I was just pissed that they were gone.

I have played FFXI, LOTRO, AION, EVE, (not a WOW fan) and a few other oldies. I got back into LOTRO after 6 months out, its still ok. Aion is GORGEOUS!!!!! Best looking MMO I have ever seen, and fun to play. Account still open. FFXI was great untill all my regulars decided to quit and getting a party was too much of a pita, but I hear its rectified now.

But, alas. I am waiting on FFXIV, and Diablo III.
