I looked at getting the RS4 but to me the difference with the S4 was not worth it.. Plus getting married I got the Fiance a G35x.
I really have to say the build of the BMW is GREAT!! my family has had BMW's since 1973 and get a new one every year.. I need to scan some pictures of the ones we have had because in St. Louis we were one of the first in the 80's and 90's to have some very heavy moded cars. includin 79 633 that i won 17 Best of shows with it had rial wheels lowered and a 10k watt stereo, also a 74 2002 tii, alpina B6, 2002 turbo (why my father sold that WHO KNOWS), right now there are 2 M3's, 3m5's..

I take it you are on AWOT????

My route to the e90 335.
GTI>B6 A4>B6 S4 Tip(very short lived)>B6 S4(modded to the gills)>mkV GTI DSG(modded)>330i ZHP(modded)>e90 335 picked up today....... will be modded.

I'm amazed at how hard this car pulls stock.
With the Xede and my custom exhaust and Volk Progressive MEs, this thing will ROCK !!!!

VW/Audi customer service and reliabiity is what lost it for me.
I dropped alot of coin into VAG cars in the last 5 years or so.....
But, I'll be sticking in the BMW camp for a bit, as I've never been a more happy car owner.
In fact, our 2005 Toureg will become an X5 really soon !!!

Well, how about B5 S4 to a 335i? That's me.
Loved the S4 (APR chipped, ...tip...).

after 6 years, very sorry to have to give it up, but at 112K miles, a "loud" passenger turbo, and that fact that it was a tip and once one thing was fixed, another seemed to come up, the 335i w/twin turbos just called out to me.

very happy so far, but had to but winter tires (not even perf winter, Q rated REVO1s) after 1 week on her, I feel like I'm not really getting the right experience until I put the 18"ers back on.

def. less turbo lag that the S4 stock, and *definately* much less lag the the S4 chipped.

so far very happy, but also a bit of remorse about not waiting for the Xi since I do live in winter country (upper state NY).

Haven't done it yet, but will

Please don't take this the wrong way. I have had a 98 M3 and now drive an 04 S4. Both are good cars but the S4 is really a great car. That being said , I don't believe that I will be unhappy with the 335i coupe when it comes in this spring. I will miss the AWD even though I rarely drive it in snow. The BMW lease rates and maintenance make it a no brainer for me. Plus I do really like the styling of the coupe and the turbo.

04 S4 gone... Same story for me as far as Audi/VAG losing me as a customer. The wife and I decided the BMW was the way to go. Still, even though we like the E90 335i, the S4 was a great car as well.
