First of all, it's gray poplar trim and from some of the pics and comments posted on the forum, it can look a little more brown than gray. Aluminum would look good (I saw coral red w aluminum trim today on a space gray) but then there are issues with dings that some folks experience. The piano black trim would look good but it is not an option for the USA market. If you haven't seen your combo in person, ask around your local dealers and see if they have it on their lot. Otherwise checkout the interior E92 pics on the forum.
Choosing a color combo is the hardest thing with the E92 because they all look damn good. I'm having the same problem and must decide before I place my order.

Piano black is the way to go. Import the stuff from Germany and have the dealer install it. Of course if you don't want to spend over $1k to do that get aluminum.
