BMW extended warranty on 335d
I have a 2009 BMW 335d with 7600 miles. Can someone tell me, what the lowest on the extended BMW warranty might be, do they negotiate, like the dealer and if it is worth it.
I bought the car in a different city and live in another city. Who generally give me a better cost, the car where I purchased or where I live or does it not make any difference. Please advise Thanks |

If you can afford to make repairs to you car when and if they happen, your better off not buying the warranty. It's insurance, and they think they can make money on the deal. Take care of the car use it as designed fallow scheduled maintenance and you will almost assuredly come out ahead.

Regarding extended warranty on 335d
I think i will not buy the extended BMW warranty on my 335d.
i will maintain it myself after 4 years/50K miles. I agree that they come out ahead most of the time unless there is a major premature part failure. One thing I did nt realize at the time of purchase that the sales folks want to impress the client by reving the engine quite high to show how quiet and also on the speed. They did that to my car before I bought it. This goes again all manufacturers warning about the break in period. I don't know how often this was done to my car with other clients. I did mention to the BMW rep and they said that they have a made a note to in my car's file, in case they said if there is some premature engine failure. |

I agree the sales people are the first to abuse the car in demoing car to buyers.
If you knew this why did you buy it? Why not just order a car? My experience with all German cars is that's the point of buying them, they don't break. My MB has 148K on it and has not had a failure off warranty. All my other BMW's bought new ran without failures of major items. Valve cover gasket and new clutch at 125K, that's OK with me. Turbo's are a major consideration though but will most likely exceed that extended warranty with ease. I will maintain mine after the warranty also but will pass on extended warranty unless some issue crops up like the 335i issue with HPFP's. I bought this model for the reliability and am very confident that it will run without issue for more than 150K. HS HS |

Regarding 335d
I did not realize it at that time for some reason.
There was only 1 car on the lot which was fully loaded. i actually went to buy a VW diesel and ended up buying a 335d. |
