abnormal milage?
hey guys recently my car shows that Im getting really poor gas milage. I have a 328xi and I use to get atleast 30 miles on the highway. For the past week Iv been getting 22 on highway and 16 in the city. I checked my tires and filled them up but Im still getting pretty bad mpg. Oh and my driving habits havent changed. Any idea what can be the problem?

unless my gas station is fuckin me over Iv been gettin the same 93 octane i always do. That might be a posibility. But a week ago i was hardwireing my V1 and I think I took out the wrong fuse and maybe put it in backwords? Can that be a possibility?

You can't put a fuse in backwards so I would say no. Also pulling the fuse likely reset your MPG calculations in your cluster. Is that how you are calculating MPG or are you actually doing the math?

Give your car a couple weeks to readapt itself and see what happens. Also I would suggest doing the math over that same period and comparing it to your actual computer readout. Just reset your trip on every fill up and when you fill up again just divide the number of gallons it takes to fill the tank by the number of miles on your tripmeter. This will give you actual fuel consumption over the previous tank of fuel. I've done this on all my BMWs and have found them to be fairly accurate.
