I have one dealer that usually gets everything done same day unless parts need to be ordered or the car needs to sit for testing or something. However a different dealer will take at LEAST 2 days if you're lucky. They usually don't even look at it until day 2.

Mine is at dealer #2 right now going to be day 3 tomorrow. Hopefully you got a decent loaner, I'm in a shitty Chrysler.

My car has been at the dealer since Tuesday and they gave me a loaded E93 328i. Kinda slow compared to my 335i but drop top FTW!

dont usually get nice loaners.....i think you have to wait in line for them....

just want my car back nice and fixed......but yeah it looks like they didnt even touch it today even though I dropped it off at 9am. Was supposed to get a call from SA and that didnt happen either.

Last time I tried to reach my SA, she never pickup the phone and never returned my calls. I am just trying to be nice here, dont want any arguments but those people are impossible !

u r lucky they even take the time to look and work on it instead of telling you everything checked out and and no problems found. Just be sure they tell you how much they will charge ahead of time. Stealerships won't do warranty work when asked and yet they won't hesitate to give you a large bill at the end for non-warranty calls, such bs!

I have factory and CPO warranties.....wastegates used to rattle for a while.....then I got 30FF and 3100 codes which most likely have something to do with rattling. Rattle is there if you push accelerator in N, and 1-3 gears...its not loud but it is annoying and makes the car sound like some Honda Civic with cheap exhaust

almost 40K on original pump...maybe my praying is paying off

I tell you it's never ending with a 335. I was good for 4 mos. and now I got the reduced power icon. WTF?

I have been back 3X for that d*** seatbelt handler. That's pi**-poor engineering. Seriously, how many visits is reasonable to fix that thing in a car with 20k?

Good thing with a new job, I am changing dealerships. The new one is promising, it's only a few years old and has tons of service bays, and you get a loaner in no time. My old dealership needed over 3 weeks advance notice.

I will keep this car forever, and I've extended the warranty to 7/100 Gold, but I probably will never buy another new BMW. CPO, maybe. But it's really not below me to drive something like a Legacy GT turbo with a 6-man. I want to be able to rely on a car that I spend money on. It's stupid to have to go to the dealership every month for something new, even if there's warranty and a loaner.

I have to agree, seatbelt presenters are junk. I pulled the fuse out so they dont bother me. but the car is at dealer, might as well get it fixed.

me too, my passenger side seat belt extender was fixed twice and now still has problems. The driver side however, has been problem free.

Worst thing was I got it fixed last sat, and by mon it was broke again.

My initial pump crapped out at around 37k. Now I'm at 61k on the 2nd pump and it's still going strong! *Knock on wood*

Dude,

my next car will be a hyundai.

I've had a rattle since day 30, service confirmed the rattle bmw said not a problem (suspect early display of waste gate rattle)

I've had a oil change indicator problem since day 60 and software updates a plenty... only fixes it for awhile... I'll live with it when the warranty expires.

a rattle from the rear sunshade... never fixed never asked.

1 confirmed HPFP failure... and suspect another comming but dealer said no dummy lights no failure (my gas mileage dropped from 22 to 18 too)

breaks squeaking and only 19K miles... bmw they all do that , no problem to report. have a nice day.

Run flats... well to be expected.

Hey man it is what it is. I wont be buying another and I did know some of these prior to purchase. good car choice if you wanted performance bad car choice if you dont want to return for service.

UPDATE:

looks like they haven't touched my car till this Monday. (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday haven't done shit). Today I got a call that my car will be getting a software update and hopefully the update will fix ALL my problems Was also told that brake quick is normal and my seatbelt presenters have not been fixed yet for some reason.....

I always get 335's for loaners. Today I got a 328, it just reminded me why I got the 335, great accelleration and awsome breaking (the 335, not the 328).

If you can't have a descent loaner you may want to try a different dealer. My first BMW dealer put me in a yaris, and I've never been back to that dealer (Long Beach).

Which dealer in the Boston area? I always take my car to BMW Peabody and they're awesome at getting my car back to me quickly. They just did a software update on my car, it wouldn't take, so they replaced my DME and I still got my car back the next day. Oh, and I got a 2011 335 for a loaner...
