help with closing gas tank cover

hey guys im having problem with my gas tank lid. It wouldn't close. I mean lock in place. Did this happen to anyone?

have you read through your owners manual?

ya.. i tried dat a few times.. yesterday and today but is still not closing.. guess i have to take it in... and have them fix it

see if the locking mechanism is stuck.

I presume you are talking about the door rather than the gas tank cap itself....

Is there a horizontal black plastic bit that keeps it from closing? if so you need to push it back into it's housing (it's kinda springy). Your door should close. If your door is not staying closed then maybe this bit is not coming out to keep it locked.
