Jaguar XJ - seen it on the road

Has anyone seen the new XJ on the road? Wow, very nice. I seen an XJ today and it is very impressive.

In pictures I have never liked the black C pillar but it doesnt look bad. The rear lights look weird in pics but in real life look fine. The front is just amazing. It gives the car so much presence and it just has the image that a large exec saloon should have.

I've got to say it's more eye catching than the S class and 7 Series. The S class only looks good with AMG trim and the 7 is def the sportiest looking in it's class but this Jag is the one to get if you want something unique. It doesnt look like an old man's car at all. It looks big, expensive and a very smooth flowing design. It sort of looks italian.

I have seen one pass by my store (Bose Smithfield, NC). It is incredibly nice, the people in the back looked like they had their feet up and everything.

It's truly a beautiful car. Very eye catching.

Haven't seen one in person yet, but love the look of the upcoming XJ175 special edition.

Iam a huge jag fan, as I have an xfr. And to tell you the truth iam not a huge fan of the xj. I do like the supersport with the 21inch rims and 510hp engine, the others look very odd with the small wheels

The c pillars look soo lame blacked out un less the car is black

I agree with this. The new XJ looks badass. So much more road presence than the competition without looking overdone. I can forgive the blacked out C-pillar, but I can tell the body would look ten times better with a painted one. And that car has one of the best looking front ends on the market without LEDs.

I saw two at the Detroit Auto Show last year. Honestly I came away from the show very impressed by the new XJ. It was one of the cars that blew me away. Pictures don't do it justice. They definitely hit this one out of the park, unlike the XF, which was changed from the amazing proto-type.

The car is beautiful inside and out.

It was full of people who admired it and none who actually bought it. This is a design that people can associate with.

I can forgive the C-pillar. It would look better on a black car. I think Jag should offer an option to have it painted. It would make the roofline so much better.

I think I would maybe take this over the S-class and 7 series. The merc has been around too long and has awful interior. The BMW looks very good but front grilles from some angles look weird. The interior is too similar to other models too. Dont get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the new 7 but compared to the new XJ it's not as good.

I saw it in a motorshow and it surely looked good. Gotto agree that a painted c pillar would look good. I was wondering how a powder coated black grille would look like?

Get the chance to drive one and then you'll be sold on it. It probably the only one in this class that combines sport and luxury without feeling like one or the other has had to be compromised. And then there's the interior design, combining Italian flair and traditional British with German logic.

It's the best by far in my opinion.

Saw one last week. Overall it was a very good looking car, but the black C pillar looked really out of place on the silver one I saw. Perhaps on a darker colored car it wouldn't be so bad, but on light color IMO it really doesn't look right.

Couldn't have said it better.

I would definitely take it over either. The exterior is nicer, it's a cheaper car, it's much lighter, and it's finally a truly competitive Jag. The interior is also in a league of its own.

The interior amazed me. I didn't have the highest expectations based on online photos, but the quality of the materials and the design absolutely wowed me after I sat in it. I didn't even want to get out. Plus the steering wheel puts the ones in the 7 and A8 to shame, which is quite surprising.

It's def a great looking car for the lost part but the taillights seem a bit too small. It messes with the rear proportions
