Waiting for iPhone...need a device now...

I can't wait for the iPhone, it looks terrific.

Meanwhile, for the next 6 months, I am going to need a device to bridge the gap. My balckberry, which I love it starting ti show signs of wear. I am Cingular customer and Push email is most important feature to me.

Any suggestions?

Buy something unlocked on ebay that is acceptable for 6 months.

Then upgrade.

Im not too aware of the best PDA/Phone devices so you should read some reviews online of what you like. But you can get them on the cheap, especially if they are used/older models.

In the next few weeks it is possible that the Nokia N95 will come out. Give it a search. I'm sure you will be quite pleased with it.

Want to buy my Sony W810i? I'll be switching to an iPhone too, but my old Nokia 3650 still works and can tide me over if you buy my Sony.

It's unlocked and in good condition with all software etc.

Here's the specs. It's an awesome phone overall, with my favorite features being the 2MP camera and Walkman. It also runs Java apps, so Google Maps Mobile and Google Mobile Mail brilliantly. The Opera browser works nicely too.

Other cool stuff is quad-band, FM radio, speakerphone and built-in flashlight (really!).

i have a blackberry pearl and love it. i just got and i am already counting down the days till i can buy an iphone. but...i am very happy with my pearl.

The iPhone has push email only if you use Yahoo's service. It does *not* have push email with Exchange servers or regular POP3/IMAP servers other than Yahoo's. Read what Jobs said carefully: he said it works with exchange, but did *not* say that it works with exchange's push system.
