Run in w/ an EVO 7
It's truly funny how this car acts as a "race magnet"
![]() I was about 1 and a quarter car lengths ahead of him when we both floored it. Shifting into 2nd my DSC kicked in and I could feel the power ebbing away a bit, but I still managed to maintain my lead and surprisingly started to pull away. By the time I hit 3rd I was 2 car lengths away and then I slowed down (fear of cops). I guess he figured he lost too as he slowed down as well - conceded defeat perhaps? ![]() ![]()

I never even play with evo's..... the first one I ran with from a redlight must have had some serious mods because it pulled om my S54 like I was in a 325 and it just got worse as we went through 3rd. Those guys are nuts, and 500hp kits are everywhere for evo's. I can't believe the transmissions handle that kind of power on launch, but they do, and it's a humbling efect.

The funny thing is that there were no Evolution 7s in the United States. We only got them recently as of the Evolutino 8s starting in 2003, and the current Evolution 9s in 2006. If it was a truely an Evo 7 imported, it would've walked you with ease as all imported Evo 7s are high modified. And Najeeb, lol...we run into each other again! From V6P to Evolutionm to e90post. hehe. |

had to have been an Evo VIII or Evo IX but that is one of the better evo drivers
most of them do seem like hey do woudl do asshole things like zoom past you for no real reason. I've visited some evo forums and they just take random shots at subarus for no reason (i prefer the impreza anyway ![]() about the racing, at least you dont' get challenged by some dumb honda boys. The people in the bay area should know what i'm talking about! My mom gets revved at by random civics, integras, RSX's, and then she beats them ![]() |

i am assuming your car is 335....so you MIGHT have a chance against an evo...
but i beleive a stock evo7 gets 0-60 below 5's......and there's not much evo's out there that's still stock....haha....most are heavily modified.... so i can't really imagine you pulling about 2 car length on him.... unless there's some other explanation or fact that i don't know.... |

correction.....it was an EVO VIII. I actually used to race those cars (rally w/ the EVO III's in Asia) and they are very fast - just going off of power-to-weight ratio alone, I actually was sorta expecting him to beat me. And good point was mentioned earlier, he was one of those "nicer" drivers. But then again, perhaps his girlfriend screamed at him to slow down? I just find in most cases, I see when I see people with fast cars, they have no idea how to drive them - not even in a straight line.
Oh, and no, I'm not 16. ![]()

So if performance is that great why not buy that? I know its a great performance car, I had an 03 evo making some good power. My point was that aside from the performance aspect, what does the car offer? VERY LITTLE, just like a srt Neon posting 12's, sure its fast, then what? Have you owned one? I didnt think so. have some manners before you go calling a stranger an idiot we all know you couldnt do that in person. And in your gaga post of Evos...the tranny does not handle 500hp...they go right after you burn through the clutch.
i dont want this post to get sidetracked so ill bow out of this post. let the evo love fest continue. ![]() |

the evo is one of the best handling cars on the market and the best handling AWD car I have ever driven. This also includes the audi S-Line cars. Some people are so dumb and clueless. Its amazing they have enough money to buy a BMW. If I didnt have my 330i I would have an STI or EVO. Forget the clueless haters man.
