In short which one do I need?

I have a 2007 pre facelift E91 and and iPhone 3G (not 3GS).

There are plenty of adaptors around but part numbers vary. So far I've seen:-

84 21 2 158 682 - I believe that this could be the E9x iPhone 3G adaptor?

84 21 2 158 683 - Possibly the one for the 3GS, but some info is online about it allowing music playback on the facelift with a USB aux.

There are other part numbers for iPhone adaptors too, such as 84.21.2.151.038, but I've no idea what these are for.

Does anyone know a list of part numbers that are compatible to fit my phone in my car with?

both of those will work, but 682 is the one that doesnt play music, and 683 does, but you need option 6nf to stream with 683,

so 682 will give you charging, outside aerial, bluetooth connection for calls

and 683 will give you charging, outside aerial, bluetooth connection for calls, and connection for music

I had just the usb option, so I opted for the split iphone cable, that gives you charing, and usb music streaming(6fl), can still connect via bluetooth to the car for calls

someone please correct me if I am wrong

So I can buy either 682 or 683 for use as a phone (as I don't have USB), which ever the cheaper?
