Scothall always seem busy as well. I'm using the Sandal in Wakefield when I have to put my hand in my pocket, for Warranty work I use Leeds

I didn't try wakey - will do next time - see what their prices are like. Quotes for this brake service were roughly

Leeds £100
York £80
Malton £70
Bradford £50

Amazes me - the difference.

Bowker Preston quoted me £371 last week for an oil change, brake fluid change and replacement microfilter.

I subsequently got two quotes from local independent garages for the same work using OEM parts and the cheapest of the two was £178.

When I informed Bowker Preston they price matched my quote and did the work for £178 as opposed to the £371 they originally quoted!!!

It shows how much profit the dealers try and make on servicing if they can cut nearly £200 from a £371 bill and still do the work at a profit!!

My 320d se is booked with jct600 bfd for an oil change...got quoted £140 for it. Seems high for just an oil and oil filter change?? Anyone recommend a cheaper alternative near Bradford? Car has 114k miles and full dealer history so want to keep it up.

£129 i was quoted by sandal huddersfield.
I did ring national tyres hudds and they quoted me £60 using 0w30 castrol edge oil but i lose the stamp and sandal wont consider a price match.

Maybe because they are not BMW specialists. I will try a quote from sandal in hudds and also call up b&m in Leeds (BMW specialist) and compare the price then see if jct or sandal will price match...

So I called around and these are the prices I got...

Williams in Rochdale wanted £170 for an oil change
JCT600 in Bradford wanted £140
Sandals in Hudds wanted £129

B&M Care (BMW Specialists) wanted £110 + VAT

So Sandals are cheaper then the specialists!!!!
