2011 335i sport loaner

Got a 335i coupe sport as my loaner today. Has the DSG gearbox and I must say I'm very impressed with the feel of the car and the transmission. The car feels very solid cornering, extremely smooth in the power delivery. Truly impressed.

Unless the car is actually a 335is, it doesn't have the DCT (DSG) transmission. It has the normal, torque converter equipped ZF tranny. The DCT isn't available in the 335i in the USA.

oh, ill see if i can find the sticker. but it does have a DTC button and the proper -,+ separate on each pedal (which to my understanding comes with the DSG) so i though it was.

If it doesn't say 335is on the aluminum trim over the glove box then it's a regular 335i with the regular automatic transmission which comes with paddle shifters. Are you sure you are not looking at the DTC for Dynamic Traction control next to the door lock? DTC and not DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission).

I believe on the newer 2011 builds, the paddle operation was reverted to one dedicated paddle for upshifting and the other dedicated for downshifting

Are they the M3 paddles?

Or just the similar paddles with the left being - and the right being +?

The regular 335i has the DTC button and proper shift paddles that you mentioned.
