Floor Mats I or XI Different?

Looking to get some carpeted floor mats for my wifes 2010 328XI

One part #82 11 0 439 350 (Black NON XI)

Other part #82 11 0 439 353 (Black XI)

What is different in the floor mats between I and XI?

Thanks,
Corey

The XI floormats accelerate better and come out of turns better.

I don't know about that, but it does corner good.

Is there any difference in the floor board or pedals between I and XI? I'm looking at BMW dealers on Ebay and they either state I or XI. Plus I've found some cheaper but they have different part numbers between I and XI.

Thanks,
Corey

Pretty sure it doesn't matter....they may be putting the all-season floor mat part #s on the xi ones.

I believe the floor pan is different on each car, so the floor mats are cut a bit different to fit the floor properly.

All-season, do you mean rubber? Because these were carpeted.

No it makes a difference

XI mats have space on the driver's side for an extended hump that is part of the transmission.

I thought maybe it had something to do with the XI tranny.
Thanks,

This is the case, the drivers side mat is humped up to accommodate for the transfers case. I realized this when I traded my 330xi for my M3 and kept the all weather mats, the drivers side didn't fit very well. But it worked.

Get the "i X-drive" floormats, they have 3 more HP than the older "xi" version.

Well thanks to this thread I'm getting new floormats. I picked up my car last Monday and I noticed that the floormats didn't fit perfect in my "xi" but I just assumed that is how they fit. Then this thread came along and sure enough I have the "i" mats in my "xi". Since I'm in TX dealer probably never saw an "xi" mat before in their life.

The good news is that my CA said they already ordered the right one and they'll give me a call once they're in. I'm pretty pleased with the way they handled it. I'll report back once the new "xi" version is in.

I bought the non XI mats for my Xi coupe because I did not know any better. The short of it is, they fit perfectly well, except that the little fastener that holds it to the floor on the side closest to the shifter won't screw into the carpet because there is a slight slant.
