E92 328i lease deal

328i Sapphire Black/Saddle Brown, Sports Pkg Aluminum Trim
800 over invoice + 580 MACO.

From dealer :
Invoice is $36410.00 + $800 = Selling price
MF .00181
Monthly $489.99 plus tax
Total due at signing $5264.41"

36 mo/12k mi - Residual Value 60% of MSRP – 0.00125 MF
with 7 BMWFS' MSDs which subtract MF by 0.00049
Jan 07 lesae rate for 328i coupe should be
36 mo/12k mi - Residual Value 60% of MSRP – 0.00076 MF

Is 1380 over a good deal?
Is 60% and 0.00076 the # to expect? or am i way off.
0.00181 seem a bit high.

on bmusa listed 3289 due at signing, i'd expect to pay around the amount for a lightly loaded 328i coupe. how could it be so much??

any help is appreicated.

They should ne able to match what is on BMW's website. Maybe the dealer doesn't wanna match it because that deal would give them very little profit.

So that I can help you: What is MACO? What is the MSRP on the vehicle?

MSRP 38920
INVOICE 35830

MACO, as I understand, is the advertising/training fee that the stealer has to pay.
To me it's just another way for the dealer to get more from you because everybody knows what the invoice is nowadays. I have no idea why the customer has to pay this fee but whatever.

True invoice for your car is $36010 (if it's 6MT) which includes $180 training fee. From your #'s, the dealer added on $400 MACO (which seems a little high, in NY it just went up to $300), and then added another $800 on top of that. It seems like a good deal for the dealer and with the amount you stated that is due at signing, it seems that you are reducing your monthly payments by putting money toward lowering the cap cost. This is one of the pitfalls of leasing.

The BMW site does not include the dealer fees on the finance page. I had a similar experience when purchasing my 335 coupe. Here are the actual #’s from a deal summary:

$260 Doc fee
$825 Acquisition fee
$313 Upfront fees
$172 Upfront taxes
$350 Disposition fee
$? Advanced payment (1st month don’t forget to add the taxes in also)
$? Security Deposit

As you can see a $1500 Cap cost reduction turns into +$3K very quickly. It’s a good thing the car is worth it! Hope this helped and good luck!

is there really a likelihood of getting zero down at signing for this kind of car so new?

By zero down, I think he's not putting any $$$ towards reducing the cap cost.

Money Factor question....

335 Coupe

MSRP: 45815
My price: 43700
residual: 31154
36 months/15K

If my dealer is trying to bump me the full .0004 on the MF (.00175), approximately how much will this affect my payment compared to the buy rate or a .0002 bump? All these lease calculators are confounding me! The selling price is fair but will the MF mark-up kill my deal? I don't have all their figures yet, only the comment about the mark-up.

I bought the 328i coupe 6mt with ZSP + MET @ 690 over invoice
$35300 here's the breakdown

1. DMV 283
2. CA Tire fee 8.75
3. Doc fee 45
4. SD 500
5. Acquisition fee 825
6. Safe lease option 840
$0 Down payment

MF 0.00165 60% RV for a 36mo 12k lease

1st monthly payment w/o tax is 500.4
w/ tax 541.68
===================================
Drive-off = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 541.68 = $1378.43

Item 5 and 6 are added to the gross cap cost of 35300, which is 36965.
===================================
shouldn't 5 and 6 be added to the drive-off instead???

As much as I like the car, I feel like I rushed the deal and overpaid.
$541.68 for 328i coupe + ZSP + MET + $840 option.

I'd be happy if anyone can point out how i could have done better, I can
do better next time. Thanks

Well, the coupe is definately a hot car right now.

Dealers know this.

They knew you wanted it so they did what they could to make you pay the most.

You could have got a similarly equipped 335i sedan for that same price you are paying.

shouldn't the Acquisition fee 825 and Safe lease option 840 be added to the drive-off instead of the CAP cost?
