SO i hit a Retarded Deer!!!!

I was driving on a two lane avenue around 60 mph and a retarded goofy deer jump right in front of my car. At the momment i didnt care cause i assumed i had full coverage but it turned out my broker made a mistake and left the care on liability. SO im responsible in fixing everything so i wnt to post up some pics and see what you guys think the internal engine problem would so i least i can fix those and get the car from my job and back. The radiator is done because all the coolant leaked i dont know what else is? fyi im going to fix it and go for a gtr. nissan are cheaper to maintain. i didnt get a chance to get a pic of the inside because im at work but you can see what the obviouse destroyed parts are.

If your broker made the mistake, why are you responsible? I guess you should have been aware of the coverage you had, though. That stinks.

I feel for you. Good luck getting it all straightened out.

sorry to hear that. Damn ...there are loads of accident threads this week. From what i see, i think u gotta replace the headlights, hood and bumper, thats all. (exclude the internal engine ) . GTR is a nice ride but transmission feels jerking when it changes from 1st gear to 2nd gear if you put in auto mode. Go for test drive before buying it. IMHO, bmw feels more solid then gtr

Sorry to hear. It sounds incredible, but we actually have to read the declarations page on auto insurance, ditto on home, and especially on health. Insurance cos. are yet another entity who although you pay them, they are NOT on your side. How often have we seen on this forum that someone has full coverage with one of those BIG insurance cos. who advertise all the time on TV? Their estimate includes the use of used and aftermarket parts. What kind of "full coverage" is that?

Anyway, what's a broker? I thought everybody cut the middlemen out by going direct nowadays. It's all online.

I opened this thread because I was laughing at the retarded deer. But seeing the damage to your car and no insurance, this doesn't seem so funny anymore.

You think the car looks bad, you should see the deer.

thats not that bad. there was a raidator on ebay for less then 100$ and there is a raidator support on ebay as well get it while its up man
my car was worse then that only cost me 3k for almost a whole front end with fenders
the most expense thing you will have to replace in the hood and windshield. almost a grand there.

get someone to glue the hood up and fiberglass it and repaint it and it will be like new. cheaper it does not look to bad

If the car is being financed, the lienholder will usually require both collision and comprehensive coverage for their own protection. Have you re-checked your policy? Hitting a deer falls under "comprehensive".

That is crappy. I bet you're talking $5k or better once you tear into all the bits that get hidden underneath (to make it "new" again).

Front end damage is always stupid expensive....
