What the hell. My exhaust tip is gone...both of them!
I posted back in February that I lost my exhaust tip somewhere. Well what do you know. I lost both of them this morning when I visited Riverside.
I am pretty sure it was there before I drove this morning. When I replaced the tip early this year I checked the placement of both tips several times and they felt secure. The only way it would have disappeared is if someone intentionally pulled them out of my exhausts. What the hell man. They cost 100 bucks each in a dealer. I am going to look on the for sale part of the forums for replacement, but by any chance you guys know of an aftermarket solution that is more secure than the OEM tips? Coz I don't plan on paying 200 bucks a year for the OEM tips just so someone else can have em. |

+1, 100 bucks for an exhaust tip is damn expensive.

Are they $100? Not sure if we're talking 328 or 335, I've seen one missing on a 335 but it looked like the car backed into something. Can't really see it falling off. But definitely not worth $100 a piece.....

Stick a little video camera in one of the exhausts rigged so that it will turn on when someone yanks on the tip. Better yet, install a spring loaded rifle in the exhaust that will fire at the first sign of tip removal.

No biggee, I am sure you can regain the lost horsepower with a bigger spoiler.
