I have the standard runflats that come with the 225m msport alloy wheels he said it wood cost me around £730 for set of two does this price sound ok or does anybody have any ideas where to get some cheaper or what should I do??

You can get the appropriate Bridgestone runflats supplied and fitted by tyre distributors for about £610 so the dealer is expensive.
They tend to come down in price if you tell them that it's much cheaper outside and you can flail them alive if they mark your wheels when changing the tyres. |

Get a full set of non-RFTs for less than two rear RFTs and enjoy the ride!

Thanks guys I will keep an eye out for them, how would I know if they are genuine 225s on eBay as opposed to replicas???
Also Igbo change to non run flat does it change the look of the car? And would my 225s still fit the tyre |

Runflats will look exactly the same, plenty of threads on here with guys who have changed and are delighted with the improved ride. Think a full set of something like Falken 452 which come highly recommended is well under £500 and that replaces all 4 of your tyres.

I switched from the OEMs to Nokian run flats - cost me £600 fitted for all 4. Size was 225/45/17. However, at this time of year you should be looking at winter tyres anyway.

Correct about winters, cheap set of 17" wheels and winter tyres for the next few months and then refit your 19" in the Spring with 4 new non runflats, probably still cheaper than 4 new Bridgestone runflats.

If you want them to match the fronts then get these http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=457224 and then flog the other two (or keep as spares)

if you have Mport 320D with 17" standard wheels I would sugget eventtyres and conti3s non RFT.
Cost is £550 inc VAT installed at home and grip and the smoother ride is great. Then just get a can of sealent in the boot. or go for Falkens works out about £450. I just have and cant believe how much better smoother the ride is

If your going down the Falken route it's best you upsize to 235 and 265 tyres. Falken don't do a 255/30/19 tyre. For: 2 x 235/35/19 2 x 265/30/19 you'll pay between £520 - £560 fitted. Yes they will fit and no they won't make your car look any different to a car running on run flat tyres, you might find the ride more comfortable though. |

thats about the price the falkens came up on event tyres first time I did a quote. Sods law there has bene a small price increase but they are still cheapest. Also for the 17" msport wheels some of the few that can get the rear sizes

Vredestein is also another well-rated tyre, but upsize to Hotcoupe's suggestion. Widely available from Elite/Camskill/Tyremen etc
