I think I might be one of the few odd apples that never really bought into the design of the Murcielago...but so far I'm digging these pics.

It bares remarkable resemblances to the 430 Scuderia in the last 2 pics for some reason.

Probably because of the shape of the intakes on the bumper

This is actually the first production lambo that has me more interested in its performance than how it looks. The LP640 is a pig for an exotic.

Design-wise, the LP640 had the proportions, but there wasn't much going on for detail. It was very basic and geometric. Looks great in person, especially with the intakes, but it gets "boring" fast. I hope this one has some creative features implemented, and I seriously hope they keep the retractable intake feature.

I see 0% between the two. The front end is vaguely similar, only because there are two widely spaced intakes.

Nothing all that interesting, and it looks like they are recruiting Porsches designers. You know, the ones that come to work once every 3 years to adjust the shape of the tail lights and mirrors, maybe add a wing and call it all an "All new body shape", then go home.

front end looks similar to the current gallardo, but the whole car is much more aggresive. I like it.

I think Porsche's design has done everything perfectly for the past few years. Looking at the 911 alone, the 996 was meh, but a step in a modern direction. The 997 improved basically everything that was wrong with the 996, but its detailing was still on the boring side. The 997.2 has everything in perfect order: perfect amount of detailing, perfect sharpness, perfect lighting tech, etc.

People keep comparing 997s and 996s, but if they had any sort of eye for cars they'd realize the serious differences between the generations.

Sharing a roofline does not mean sharing an identical design.

You guys are all far too serious. It is just a car, and it was a joke. Get it together, and lighten up a little. No ones comment about a cars design should make you angry or even a little upset. That is just a waste of energy. It should have no impact at all.

I hope the 998 is boring just like this. Old Murci looked like a space tank to me.

It didn't sound like a joke, and I wasn't/am not angry. I just have to call people out when they say that Porsche designers don't do anything.
