Got the hpfp recall. Not sure if it's related but...

I got the HPFP recall done. Mine only included the software, so I guess that means previous owner had the pump replaced sometime in the last year

ANYway, I'm driving home from the service center, and it's cold out, so I have my heater blasting warm air in my face. Suddenly, I hear a click-clock, like the car is shutting something off in the dash. The heat just stops and it blows out non-heated air.

I turn the temp up a few degrees, and nice hot air comes back out. About 5 minutes later, same noise, and the heat stops coming out. I keep going up until I hit the max (84 degrees).

Is this something thats a result of the software update? Is this normal?

Unrelated

You got only the software upgrade because you had no symptoms. When your HPFP dies you'll get get a new pump.
