Gauging interest 07 335i Engine & 6mt

Got a friend that has a totaled 07 335i, i'm trying to figure out how many miles exactly but the battery is cutoff. Stock car and the engine is unharmed. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in the engine/trans together or separate? I might buy it off him and yank the motor as he has no mechanical ability whatsoever.

So, anyone need an engine/trans? Would be nuts for an e36 swap.

would be good for my lazy ass 328 wagon as well .... I wonder if the chassis wiring harness is plug and play between the n52 and n54 engines.

just got off the phone with him, insurance wanted to much for him to keep it. none the less, it got me thinking about looking for some of these things scrapped because of the interest i got about this.
