Leather VS cloth/leather
I'm buying a car for a longer period, say up to 5 years and I ordered a 335i with cloth/leather combination however, the red/saddle leather just looks soooo nice I see lots of you have leather seats, could someone give me some input on how long these seats stay in good looking condition? I think that after some time, even if you're careful, leather starts to "shine". What is your experience say after 3-4 years?

I have a '98 328i (I'm the original owner) with 140k miles and the biege leather seats have held up very well. I treat them with Lexol leather care maybe once every 18 months. The leather is not shiny at all. I can't comment on how the leather in the e90 cars is different from the e36, but if you treat it well it should easily last the 4-5 years you're looking for.

Cloth is not available in the US, it's either leather/leatherette. I'd be happy with coth seats if they were avaiable and the price was right, but to be honest cloth/leather/leatherette ALL have their own positives and negatives.
Leatherette for durability Cloth for breathability. Leather is in between, but more expensive. |
