use a little bit of muscle, and push it towards the hood. that should work. if not, then maybe a clip is broken, but i highly doubt that ( i dont remember exactly, but i think its metal on metal brackets, so broken clips shouldnt even be a consideration, but try and look anyways)

Agreed....when mine was done, it took a bit to work it in. But it will snap back in all the way. Keep trying.

I agree with MagMd, bcoz looking at the last photo seems like the airbag hook is just shy to hooking up to those two notches on the wheel

and if that fails, try removing the back plate bracket and putting some space washer between the wheel and the bracket,
so the bracket is a little bit out for the airbag hook to catch it. Good Luck... let us know how you make out... dont forget battery disconnect/reconnect |

the video is availible to watch now
I think I've pushed hard enough.. and I also heard a metal click sound too.. I use my maximum force, but I'm afraid that it might break the airbag unit?

Need to push more. Mine went it....one side at a time.
Push corners in one at a time....I do not think you will break it. The wires...they look like they are tucked in correctly in the photo, make sure they are not in the way.

My understanding is that it is very difficult to go from a non-SP steering wheel to the M wheel because there is a bracket that is missing. The sport package wheel has the bracket. I'm sure that you've addressed this, right?

Ok...one more simple thing.
Try to readjust the wires behind the airbag. Mine were pointing downward...towards 6 o'clock. Maybe this is why it is not having a perfect fit...getting on the way. instead of this: go like this:

hmm...was this airbag your car before? Or is this an upgrade from non-sport.
I can't tell from comparing these pics (not mine) if they are facing the same direction (bar code to the top and green left and black on right). See this pic for comparison. Not sure if it really matters, but might make for a change in fitment when shoving all the wires back into place. Yours looks off for some reason like its rotated diagonally. Maybe it does not matter if you had this airbag already before the swap of the wheel.

I think there is only one way to install the wires, the other way won't work?

Hmmm...see my post. Yours looks rotated. Not sure if this is a problem with clearance. I do not remember how much room there is between the wires and that large center bolt.
But..if this is an upgrade...I don't know if your wires are keeping it from locking in all of the way due to the fact that they are slighty rotated (the whole back part of the airbag seems to be). I dunno
