Acceleration hiccup?

Anyone experiencing engine hesitation between 55-65mph when trying to overpass? I've already had 3 HPFPs replaced, as well as the 'recall update'.

surging , pulsing yes....

sensation is feels like boost is going from 8% to 0% and back to 8% etc. thru the rpm band.

If this is what your questioning other have experienced the same with stock flash, dinan flash and i beileve piggy... but dont hold me to piggy.

one person had injectors replaced and commented surging went away, another stated it was temperature dependant and went away in cold weather.

I experienced the surging but cant comment if it was eliminated with the recall.

ppp

p.s. noticed you had/have a prelude... are you planning on the new NSX if its resonable to fill the prelude spot ? I know I will be !

Yeah, my E90 is all stock. I guess you can say it surges and then pulsates while accelerating. Odd if it's temperature dependent, as it's gotten cold down here in the south. BMWNA should really step up and cover our N54s throughout the fuel/ignition system, and not only the HPFPs.

Heh, I doubt that. Having two kids won't get me remotely close to another coupe like the Prelude. I've actually passed it down to my dad. I still own it, has like 122K miles on it, and drives like new (about 95% of the engine is original since day 1, aside from the usual timing belt/water pump/camshaft seals/etc replacements (x2) ). That car is a true champion when it comes to reliability. Even the original OEM battery lasted over seven years/105K miles -- only replaced it b/c I was getting the 'dude, you're walking on eggshells w/ that battery...in short, it was a matter of time..'

You think so? Hmmm, could be... Had the solenoid and some camshaft replaced some time ago. Gladly the dealership covers work for another 2yrs/unlimited miles on their repairs.

lol if i need to turn traction control off at 60 or so i have more then 350hp under the hood

this isnt traction related.

I have 3 kids and I'd buy another prelude in a moment's notice... thats what the trunk is for !

I said this because if there is any sort of slippage after flooring the car even at 60 the traction c will choke the engine.

Would this be a wierd sensation to be happening on my N52? Its a pulsing sensation at like 4k and below rev.
