Just got myself WeatherTech All Digital Floor Mats ...

Just got myself WeatherTech All Digital Floor Mats for my 2011 BMW 335. But the problem is I cannot get the hooks into the floor. Do I need to make a hole in the carpet and put the floor hooks there? My BMW did not come with floor hooks installed. Thoughts? Thanks.

Do you have the floor hooks with the plastic 'screw' on the end? If so, just align them with the mat and twist into the carpet. They grab and hold the mat in place.

I have them and I love them. Very happy with the protection they provide during the winter, and the fit is excellent. They have a nice, clean look IMO.

The hooks they come with are the same style as the BMW all weather mats, (the hooks have a threaded section on the bottom of them) just push down and screw them in where the hole's in the mat lines up.

I haven't even bothered attaching my mats to the car. They sit perfect and don't move around.

Only issue I find with them is when the snow melts, it tends to pool where my pants sag, thereby getting them wet. You'll need to pull them frequently and drain them out.... they're almost TOO good. I remove mine nightly and let them dry outside of the car, instead of drying up inside the car

just use a knife to cut a small slit in the carpet and used the included black plastic screws. It works and looks like OEM. I have the same setup and they are fantastic. No issues whatsoever.

You see there are no screws! Check this out

and this

You see that? No screws. A hook and a "T" at the bottom. I expected a screw at the bottom.

Yeah, I got all-weathers for my E39 5 series. They came with the same plug and no holes for them to go through... and they're OEM BMW mats! I just gave up and threw them on and they don't move around at all.

Those look similar to the E46 style hold downs, if I remember correctly.

Those are the wrong hooks for your app - you need to have the screw versions as you stated that are shown in my previous thread.

I'd just call where you ordered and have them send you the correct ones...

OK I just HAD to respond... Coming from an electronics background, exactly WHAT are "All Digital Floor Mats"? Does this mean that they're made from 1's and 0's? Do they have memory? Are they any better than Analog Mats? Inquiring minds want to know...

I removed the velcro pads on the driver's side and just pushed the "T" ends of the WeatherTech hooks into the existing holes where those velcro pads screw in. The hooks do move around, but they're in there well enough not to pull out. My passenger's side has no such velcro pads or other holes for screws, so I left the hooks off completely on that side. Seems to work just fine.
