warranty is up soon, should I request new turbos?
I've had the wastegate rattle documented at the dealer a couple of times. They've said in the past that they don't just replace them for the rattle anymore because in many cases the rattle will return. Also, it is like a 22 hour job where they have to swing the engine over (so I guess they unbolt it from the front subframe or something) in order to get to them. I think if I pushed hard enough they would replace them but my question is should I ?? on one hand I would have new ( or is it remanufactured ?) turbos that I've heard have longer actuator arms (can anyone confirm this?). But on the other hand it could be remanufactured turbos and like I said, they would have to start unbolting things to do the job.. I've had no other problem with them , they just rattle and that doesn't bother me.. I just wondered if it would be worth pursuing or not.
thanks.
