Ugh!

So I got a call from the dealer today where I bought my 2008 335xi coupe Saturday to find out when I'll be picking up the car.

I told them I would pick it up Saturday afternoon. They were going to take care of registering the car for me, and repair the front bumper which was scraped in the lower driver's side corner from them jockeying the car around the lot.

So I asked them if the front bumper was all set. The salesman responds with:

"Yes, the front and rear bumpers have been repainted. You're all set. We'll see you Saturday."

End of call.

When I looked at the car Saturday, the rear bumper was fine.

are you paying for the repair out of your own pocket? or is this something the dealership offered to do for you for free?

personally, i think if it's something the dealership offered (for free, of course), don't worry about it! fresh paint is always good
but if not, call them and let them know something isn't right.. hopefully, if you have a repair quote or something similar on paper, you should be fine.

No, they are doing it out of their pocket. I almost didn't notice it on the front because it was on the lowest part of the bumper. When I pointed it out to them, they said they would take care of it.

However, I didn't see anything wrong with the rear bumper and the salesman never said anything about it either. Now I'm wondering if there was something I missed, or something happened after I left the dealership.

Go in person, and ask to speak to a manager/SA or something. Ask them why they ended up painting the rear, and find out for yourself!

(sorry - that last sentence sounds kinda douche-y, I didn't mean for it to be lol)
