Serious question for you left coasters, what effect does that have on your car's paint?

I doubt there is much effect on the paint if it's just simple ice and you will let it melt on it's own, but according to the owner he did not wait for that so who knows what he has done to the car/paint

Lol, I wouldn't touch CA with a thousand mile pole right now

As for the picture, how stupid is this guy? How many months did he just leave it street parked like that? I used to park my car outdoors in college (where we got more ice than NY) and didn't drive for up to two weeks at a time - I never had anything remotely like that sort of ice.

According to the news article, 3 days. There was a pipe burst which his Audi was next to. All the water spilled on to the car and froze = Audi Sculpture.

i seen this on the news. One of the pipe broke and his car was covered in water which turn into ice.
