I've had them for 2 weeks now, and it is my first time having non power seats on bmw. But I have Sports Package, and it has lumber support(auto) so i like it..

Only bad thing about it is, if i valet my car, i need to re-adjust the seat.
And it takes longer than power. and if i sit on the seat and try to lift up the seat, it is impossible. so i have to lift up my butt and lift up the seat.

other than that, i dont have problems.. i mean how often do you change the seat? i just set it up once, and im fine until valet guys mess up my seat.

As I'm the only person who drives our e90, it's not an issue for me. Adjustment is very precise and manual seats provide a lower driving position than electric ones.

You let a valet drive your car?

Mine are great. My only regret is that you can't get them with the memory seat feature, so it's a pain to re-adjust them after letting somebody else drive.

It really depends on how many people will be driving the car. Personally, i'd specify sports seats, lumbar, and seat heating first.

You also get a higher position with manual seats, which is why I always buy manual seats, much more flexible.

I was told you couldn't adjust height in manual seats by my sa so I went for the power seat. I wanted manual since I am the only driver and valet my car every now and then.. couldn't try since the dealer did not have any in stock and I don't know of anyone who has bmw manual seats.

I'm a believer in trying before you buy.. so see if you can get your hands on a manual seat to try with.

They should be standard on a 40k car anyways.

Works great for me!

If I need height adjustment, I hold the top of the steering wheel on the inner edge, and I "pull" myself up.

They work fine... They also save you a several pounds (70?) in weight over the power seats. The only forseeable problem would be on resale, since a lot of people want and expect Bimmers to have power seats. I don't care, though..

to be honest, i don't have a problem with my power seats. The best thing of all is i have it set to 1)daily going to work driving memory and 2)spirit driving seating positions...

Only think i don't like about it, is waiting long for me to move the seat foward or back... Or in my old e46 it would take me 1 second to put the passenger seat down for me to get some action... While with this seat, i'm going to have to wait until the seat goes back... By then it might kill the moment or the mood or the girl might go, what are you doing??? where as the old seat i just push it back and their so in the mood that by the time they "think" what did he do" their already going crazy...

SOrry for the depth discription

The non-power seats are pretty good....except when you are putting things in the back seat. not sure this feature was done as well as it could have...it always seems difficult to me to get the seat back to the upright position from the bent position....maybe it is an operator problem....

The 325i I test drove with manual adjustments were very precise I enjoyed them.

Powered seats make me and get

I have long given up hope of BMW bringing back manual cloth seats.

love my manual seats.

if you are the only or even the predominant driver of the car, then manual seats will be just fine. I have found my (nearly) optimal driving position, and haven't touched the seat position in quite a while.

if you're not the only driver then go with the powered seats.
