What the Eff is happening to this board?

Over the last month and a half or so I've noticed a growing trend for people to just post random ass questions about their car.

How do I open the sunroof with the tool that didn't come with my car? How do I program my favorite tune now that I just blindly spent $XXX dollars on it before doing any research whatsoever? How do I wipe my ass, back to front no longer works and i feel dirty...

I mean seriously I think there is a growing trend here.

I have a theory and I've been meaning to make a graph of some kind for it.

When the car is new (especially a new BMW Model) there are almost no posters and every question delves into "what if?" Most things are helpful on the forum for the first year and a half.

Then people start to sell there cars or they go off lease and you get the first wave of no searching question askers and D-bags. As time progresses the pool starts to get worse and worse until there is a kind of numb feeling to the group. Everyone's used to it a little and its tolerated.

Some members tend to give great insightful information and others just post about what color valve cover will fit there car without even typing a character into Google or anything else for that matter.

After another short period of time another group of off-leasers CPO buyers and nearly out of warranty buyer people come in the second wave after buying what they think is a good deal only to find out they bought a lemon and now they want BMW to pay for their kids braces. Then it just goes down hill from there until we're on the slipery slope we're riding now.

In a few years after the new models out and people begin the cycle again it will get better until teenagers can afford the car. Then all hell will break loose for about 5 years. Then diehard fans will compose the majority of the site and things will be fair to ok.

Seriously ranting and kidding just a bit but its something I have noticed and its getting worse everyday. I wish there were a special area where we could put people who ask too many questions and the response is "search" to their question. Like a penalty box or something.

Oh well...Back to classifieds I go...

As the car gets cheaper, more moronic people are able to purchase it as its been statistically proven that morons make less money as a whole, which leads to morons who dont search or read the manual.
