Potholes in NYC
While driving homes the last two times I hit a pothole on the Jackie Robinson Pkwy. It made a really Loud bang and I was screaming in the car.
Everything seems to be ok, though. Sometimes this area feels like a third world country. Fix the damn roads! This Is a disgrace. |

With all this back to back snow storms the road crews aren't able to keep up, once they take the plows off and start patching another storm comes and plows go back on. Plus the asphalt plants aren't open this time of year so they're just using the cold patch at this time

The solution for me thus far has been the train and spending days at home. These roads are horrible and with every re-freeze it will only get worse...

I wish I could take my job and pay to Florida, then I could imagine doing it. NYC roads have cost me so much money in tires/rims, etc. I could have saved that money or modded the car up by now.

Bronx River Pkwy just now. The bridge that goes over the rail road right before exit 10. All of a sudden I see traffic, cop blocks 2 out of 3 lanes. In the lane that is open there's a pothole that I could barely fit between my wheels, in the other 2 is a freaking sinkhole.
Right after that over 20 cars with popped tires including 2-3 beemers |

Yeah, it's a total joke right now (as always this time of year especially). There was just a report on the local news about numerous people with blown tires on the Henry Hudson.
Parts of Manhattan are beyond embarrassing with the state of the roads. |

I haven't taken the car out since early January and I think it will be several weeks before I do. I out a battery tender on it for a few hours today.
This trend to large rims and ultra low profile tires is not really condusive to the driving conditions in NYC. CA

Lets not get into the BQE and Williamsburg bridge on the right lanes going into manhattan the plows shaved off the roads... We should all just complain to 311... I also heard the DOT would reimburse you to damages done on your wheels or tires caused by pot holes previously reported,

Even when they patch the potholes in the spring our roads will still remain shitty. I say this because the roads can not continue to be patched, they need to be repaved. We have been doing bullshit repair jobs the last 30 years and the result is what we have now.
